TNW Day Zero

  • Amsterdam the Netherlands (map)

Out of 7.5 billion people on planet earth... Only 600 have travelled to space…

ESA astronaut Andre Kuipers took the time to join us for dinner and shared an incredible and humbling story about his 204 days in space.

With so many people flying in from all over the world to our hometown Amsterdam, we just couldn't resist hosting something special. It was an extreme pleasure to co-host this Pre-TNW 'dinner' to celebrate the 14th time they landed in Amsterdam.

Today's explorers are not bound by classic constraints - but there's still much to do around engineering moments to create surprising, yet relevant, connections between closed circles in tech. That's why we designed a program which allowed everyone to enter this renewed age of exploration. Cultivating what we call “engineered serendipity".

  • A party in an actual moon lander

  • Decentralized Jam session

  • Time ‘flies’

  • Wisdom tiles, spacey decor and a transformation booth.

Experiences - not for the sake of experiences, but - to free up minds and allow for meaningful connections to be made.

We enjoyed taking our guests back to the future for a day.
